The microneedling causes controlled micro-injuries to stimulate your body’s natural wound healing process, while still minimizing cellular damage. The result is effective remodeling of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact.
Most patients feel only a slight vibration of the SkinPen during the procedure. After the procedure the skin will appear slightly pink to red, similar to a mild to moderate sunburn. Additionally, the most common treatment responses experienced were dryness, rough skin, tightness, redness, itching, peeling, discomfort, tenderness, and burning.
Skin improvements are immediately apparent, however full benefits will not be visible for about two months. Results may vary individually but 6-8 sessions is recommended.
